This was never the plan. But you know what they say about “the best laid plans of mice and men…”

We had the entire season laid out–both shoot and episode drop dates. But after the frustrations of trying to cast actors for featured roles in a few episodes that still need to be shot, I inadvertently took some time away from the show and worked on another project, my first novel, tentatively titled The Revenant.

I say “inadvertently” because it wasn’t necessarily planned; I wanted to create and the book was the easiest outlet at the time. But I knew that eventually it would be time to get back to Abigail, and in between working on the book, I did write new scripts for episodes 0.3 and 0.6. I still don’t have a replacement for 0.5 (tabled because of location logistics) written, but I have a few really funny ideas that hopefully will become great additional episodes. The result could be an expanded Season Zero, or even a whole different season.

The bottom line is that I’m back in a good head space and we’ll be reuniting with the cast soon and getting back to work–because, quite frankly, I’ve missed it, and missed working with them.

Looking forward to giving you more,

KS
